ST. MARTIN PARISH RESIDENTS ARE ADVISED TO BE DILIGENT ABOUT SECURING THEIR ATV'S AS THEFTS ARE ON THE RISE
(St. Martinville, La.)-Due to the increased reports of All Terrain Vehicle thefts in St. Martin Parish, the general public is being asked to secure and store their All Terrain Vehicles out of sight. They are also being encouraged to report when they observe the use of these types of vehicles under suspicious circumstances such as non-traditional hours of the day or night when they would normally be in use. Vehicles such as these are popular among both adult and juvenile thieves. The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office is taking a proactive approach to the increased reports of thefts, and have made several arrests in connection with these incidents. This is an ongoing effort and the public is asked to contact the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office if they notice suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
