Breaux Bridge Man Arrested on Several Narcotics and Criminal Charges - 8/5/2015 -

BREAUX BRIDGE MAN ARRESTED ON SEVERAL NARCOTICS

AND CRIMINAL CHARGES

(St. Martinville, LA)—This morning, following an investigation into suspected drug activity, Narcotic Agents with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1600 block of Nursery Hwy., in Breaux Bridge. Following the execution of the warrant, Agents recovered a handgun along with a significant amount of illegal drugs.

Kyle Jean Batiste, 29, Breaux Bridge, was arrested and charged as follows:

Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS (Synthetic Cannabinoids)

Possession of Schedule I CDS (Marijuana)

Possession of Schedule IV CDS (Alprazolam)

Illegal Carrying of Weapons while in possession of a CDS

Possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Illegal possession of stolen things (stolen vehicle)

Active Warrant for Possession of Marijuana

Following his arrest on the above charges, he was booked into the St Martin Parish Correctional Center.
