The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office operates 911 for the St. Martin Parish Communications District as well as departmental communications for the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, the St. Martin Parish Fire District and the towns of Henderson and Parks.
The mission of the Saint Martin Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (OHSEP) is to coordinate response to natural and man-made disasters, including acts of terrorism; to plan and prepare responsible programs for the protection of life and property; to direct, mobilize, coordinate, and determine utilization of resources; and to coordinate and direct restoration and recovery operations in the disaster area.
The Saint Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Operational Development Bureau provides vital functions for the Sheriff's Office. Operational Development is responsible and accountable for management and revisions to the general orders (policy and procedure) manuals for the Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement and Corrections divisions.
The Saint Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Special Services Bureau encompasses four specialty divisions to include Elderly, Youth and Community Services, School Resource Officers, the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) and the Negotiations Team.
